Transient Sound by Alan Cook

A$15.00

Transient Sound is an acoustic response to photographs of early 20th century Port Noarlunga.

Artist statement: Collections exist of photographs taken in Port Noarlunga on South Australia’s mid-South coast in the early 1900s. In them are photographs of buildings, places and landscapes that remain, though transformed - in image or purpose, or no longer exist. The photographs capture moments and have immortalised this lack of permanency in print. This project documents a period in sound and, in providing an acoustic response to selected photographs, acknowledges and immortalises this transience - in sound.

Contains three historical photographs and a link to download the soundscape.
